| When in Halifax I like to stay at the Citadel because it is close to the downtown, and within easy access of the major routes in and out of the city. And then there's the hotel itself. The rooms are comfortable, it has good parking and great facilities. The staff is terrific. They make me feel the Citadel is my home away from home.

Meet the Chef & Menus
Chef Geoffrey Caswell-Murphy joined The Citadel Halifax Hotel kitchen team in 2003 and
most recently held the role as Executive Sous Chef. Geoffrey is a graduate of the Culinary
Art Institute of Canada and received his Interprovincial Red Seal Certification in 1998.
Mr. Caswell-Murphy joined the SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts Family in 2002 at our sister property, The
Crowne Plaza Hotel, in Ottawa prior to moving back home to Nova Scotia to begin his career
at The Citadel Halifax Hotel.
